Martin Johnson

Schoolchildren for Children encourages young people to take exercise while raising funds for children in developing countries who don't have our advantages in life. All for a pound. I can't think of money better spent.
Martin Johnson, England Rugby World Cup and British and Irish Lions' captain.

"Keeping fit and healthy is so important. To take part in exercise which not only helps your school but helps other children overseas are added reasons to take part in this great national challenge."
Kelly Holmes
, Double Olympic Gold Medallist
The Youth Sport Trust welcomes this initiative which will not only encourage young people to be active but also raise money to help children in some of the poorest countries in the world.

This is an excellent initiative and one that I fully support. Not only will it encourage pupils to exercise and give them the opportunity to engage in an activity that puts them in a truly global citizen role, but the education resources it will provide will prove invaluable to many.

Projects such as yours are of great importance in the drive to encourage young people to get active and combat obesity levels. I am pleased this event provides a unique opportunity for young people across the country to increase participation in sport, whilst helping themselves and their schools.
